NCC Coaching Trends 2009 Interview No. 4: Alun Richards–7 Coaching MegaTrends
Earlier this week I spoke to Alun Richards, a top coach in the United Kingdom and an active member of the New Coach Connection discussion list. Alun is the first international guest in this series.
In this interview we talked about Alun’s observations about the growth of the coaching industry and the challenges and opportunities for coaches in 2009. It was an amazing call!
Alun has, over the last 18 months, tracked the major trends affecting the coaching marketplace. To identify what he calls the Seven Coaching MegaTrends, he interviewed and surveyed practicing coaches from the UK, Europe and the US. In addition to using his marketing analysis skills – he has an MBA from a prestigious European school . He also sought information from coach training schools and coaching industry watchers.
The result, shared in this 50 minute interview, is a comprehensive assessment of the major trends affecting the coaching marketplace brought right up to date for 2009.
