NCC Coaching Trends 2009 Interview No. 2: Kathy Mallary
Kathy Mallary of Spirit Spring Coaching (www.spiritspring.com) is a successful marketing coach who is an active member of the New Coach Connection discussion list. She is the former NCC Blog Connector and still serves on the NCC moderator team. As a coach who works with life, business, and executive coaches to create a unique, one-of-a-kind coaching business, Kathy has been a keen observer of the coaching profession. We had a great talk last Wednesday, and I am happy to post our interview now.

Kathy discussed findings from the Sherpa 2009 Executive Coaching Survey that was published only the night before we talked. It is well worth your time to download and read this report.
Kathy challenges coaches to ask themselves five important questions to weather the storm of the current economic crisis (see more on her her blog post, 5 Keys for Success in 2009). They are:
- How can I differentiate myself so that I stand out in a way that’s meaningful to my customers?
- How can I add bottom line value so that I don’t have to rely on competing on price?
- How can I make my business more relevant to my target market’s needs?
- How can I make it easier for customers to interact with my business and use my products and coaching?
- How can I adapt so that I’m in position to take advantage of new opportunities?
